Hurricane Irma Response

Obviously, we all are aware of the impending threat that Hurricane Irma poses. Unfortunately, there is no fast forward button in life to move past an event like this. Yet, God has promised to us His faithfulness (1 Corinthians 1:9), His presence (Matthew 28:20), and we know that God does all things for good (Romans 8:28). Despite what we may experience in our earthly difficulties, we can rest assured that God is in control, carrying out His good plan (James 1:2-8).

Without knowing what the future will hold, if you need anything in light of the storm, please feel free to call 813.551.2735 or email info@baycitiesoldsmar.com with any questions or concerns. Depending on your county, here are some websites that should give you helpful, local information as well:

After the storm passes and we can asses the damages, let us consider both individually and collectively how we can demonstrate our core value of generosity. If you would like to contribute financially, please consider giving to the Florida Baptist Convention’s Disaster Relief Efforts.  You can learn more on their Facebook Page as well. Also, stay tuned for any local opportunities that our church can rally behind to support.

In the meantime, here are some important announcements for our church family:

  • All Bay Cities Fellowship activities this weekend are canceled. We had planned to join Calvary Church in Clearwater for a special commissioning service but that commissioning is postponed to 9/17/17.
  • Our “Back To School Splash” event is moved to 9/16/17. Stay tuned to the event page for updates.
  • Our official launch will be moved to 9/24/17. Again, stay tuned to the event page for updates.

Finally, please remain in prayer for God to use this weather event to draw us closer to Him and to create opportunities for His gospel to reach every street.

Love you all,

Pastor Ken

A Plea For Prayer

The mission of Bay Cities Fellowship is to reach every street with the good news of Jesus Christ. This mission aligns with the hope of seeing cities transformed to reflect the vision of Hebrews 11:10, where Abraham longs for a city designed and built by God. For any real transformation to occur, we must pray for God to work on our behalf. Our church is excited to live out the biblical expectations of sharing the gospel with others as well as sharing our lives (1 Thessalonians 2:8). Yet, we believe that without the power of God through prayer, our efforts will fall short.

We plan to ask, seek, and knock for God to build His Church in Oldsmar, FL. Consequently, we are looking for individuals to devote time for prayer regarding the launching of Bay Cities Fellowship. By joining our prayer team, you can expect:

  • Regular communication highlighting prayer requests and answers to prayers
  • Exclusive updates and content regarding the growth of Bay Cities Fellowship
  • Special online sessions bringing our team together for prayer
